At HK Electric, corporate social responsibility means integrating social, economic and environmental considerations into its day-to-day operations and business.
Over the years, we have implemented numerous initiatives and supported many meaningful projects to improve the local environment and build a better life for the people of Hong Kong. Among these are programmes that care for the community by helping to protect the environment, assisting the underprivileged, supporting charitable organizations and encouraging sustainable development.
To promote energy conservation among the younger generation, we have embarked on the "Smart Power Campaign" since 2003 to educate the public on how they can use electricity safely and efficiently. We have also produced an Energy Efficiency Education Kit for Secondary Schools, providing learning and teaching resources on topics of energy efficiency for students and teachers in Hong Kong.
