Smart Power Campaign 2009

Culture is related to the customs, beliefs and ways of life of people. This year's Smart Power Campaign aims to encourage the public to embrace energy saving as a shared value and conserve energy in daily lives.

In essence, "reduce waste, treasure electricity and energy efficiency" are the core values of an energy saving culture. Mnemonics of energy saving tips adapted from the Chinese folklore "seven daily necessities" have been used to associate people and assimilate them into the energy saving culture.

Handy reference charts of energy consumption of common household appliances, energy saving examples, information update of energy efficiency as well as environmental initiatives of HK Electric will be shared throughout the year-long campaign.
