Introduction

HK Electric is proposing the development of an offshore wind farm in the Hong Kong SAR.  The wind farm will have a generating capacity of around 100 MW and will be connected directly to the grid.  HK Electric has embarked on the project to support government policy to develop renewable energy in Hong Kong while also fulfilling our commitment to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

An application for approval of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report for the project has been submitted to the Environmental Protection Department.  If you have any comments to the proposed project, please email to mail@hec.com.hk.
